Leckhampton – 50 Year Plan — Corpus Christi College, Cambridge

The original Leckhampton house dating from 1880. The Leckhampton ‘campus’ comprises a mixture of buildings which are loosely oriented around a garden space.

Site plan.

The strategy suggests a 2 phase programme to intensify and improve the campus. The first phase creates a stand-alone building framing entry to the site. In the final phase – illustrated here – this is complemented by an intervention next to the original Leckhampton House.

Proposed site plan showing new ‘screen’ building – providing 42 graduate rooms, 3 fellows’ flats and 2 seminar rooms – forming an edge between college site and protected landscape.

Drawings exploring the potential architectural quality of the building.
